One Hundred Things

I’m going to complete the list this time. Really. I have started several drafts and then forgot or didn’t finish, so this time, I’m going to finish, because that’s the person I am in 2007.

1. I was born in Bad Axe, Michigan on January 14th, 1977. Or so I thought until my husband corrected me when applying for our marriage license that I was actually born in Colfax Township.

2. I love the way my birth date sounds when I say it.

3. I love to cook. Hated it as a child/young adult but somehow when I started living alone, I became very domestic.

4. My mom thought that would never happen and still won’t compliment me when I cook something.

5. My mom is either in constant competition with me or does/says things I like to get closer to me when really I just want to push her away. All the time. I can’t stand it, but I can’t change it.

6. I just forgot how to spell competition when I typed it for number 5. That will bother me for a good 24 hours.

7. I really do love my mom, but I adored her until about 1994, and then it went down hill from there.

8. I really want to be a Real Estate Agent but I’m too scared. I love houses, I love them.

9. Finishing school is only important to me so I can say I did.

10. When at the bar I’m going to order one of the following: Coors Light, Martini, Red Wine, Sangria or a Bloody Mary.

11. Bed covers must always be in the appropriate order for me sleep soundly.
