Period. Period.

I woke up this morning to the sound of sirens like I lived in NYC or something….granted, the windows were open but I’ve never heard anything like it. And not that it really happens like that in NYC, I really wouldn’t know, it’s just the first thing I thought of. I really want to visit NYC, though, getting hubs to do it is another story. I’ve got him almost there while we plan our long weekend vacation to somewhere east, but I’m not sure he’s convinced. My whole point of that was how happy I was that the windows were open.

I feel strange today. I can’t really explain it.

Friday night I was a total and utter bitch. I wanted to cry when I realized that the shirt I wanted to wear was in the washer. I woke up Saturday morning to my period which is probably TMI but here’s why I’m talking about it here. I didn’t know that my period was due. And the reason I’m loving that is that I’ve absolutely lost all track of timing when it comes to getting pregnant. We are really just hoping for a “he shoots, he scores” scenario and not “okay honey, get your penis out it’s time” scenario. Hubs gave his mad six year old face when I shot him down for trying to get a little after I returned to bed from the bathroom. I explained the situation and he responded, “I should have known, you never act like you acted last night….I should have known.” Yeah, a girl needs just one day to throw a fit, no? And a pouty fit I did throw. But with less throw and more pout.

We woke up Saturday and got ready to get started on our house project for the weekend. Yes, I said got ready……it takes time to get moving you know. House project number 1 of the Spring was ripping out the living room carpet to expose the beautiful hardwood floors. Or at least, we were praying they were beautiful. They are. I’m so thrilled. I can’t believe anyone would have covered them to begin with. Or that I wasn’t smart enough to rip the carpet out earlier. I had pulled back both closets as a test and they looked good but I was nervous….what if I got to the middle and it was horrible? And I couldn’t replace a floor by myself…..but with now with having hubs, I knew we would figure something out if the floor had been awful. There is one stain but it’s in the middle and is covered by our new area rug! I love it! Hubs just has to finish the room dividers in the doors and it’s complete. On to the next project….which I know I’m going to hate the process but love the outcome. Ugh, scrapping trim is going to kill my hands. This is on the outside. We are repainting all the trim, and doors on the outside of our house. This upcoming weekend. If it doesn’t rain. I would like to hire someone, hubs says no way. My hands already hurt.

I watched The Holiday Saturday night. I liked it. I wish they would have spent more time with Kate Winslet and Jack Black though. He is so funny.

Happy Monday…..waiting for Friday.

  • Hey – thanks for the birthday wishes, same back to your hubby…

You gotta love when the home projects turn out great!

I’ve heard from my got-pregnant-on-the-first-try sister that tracking really helps if you want to try and plan for it – at least having an idea of your cycle that is. My biggest complaing of not being on the pill? NOT knowing when your period is coming!!! I hate it!!! So definitely I know where you’re coming from…

    Take care and happy Monday!

  • Hey Ms. McCrary – it’s already Wednesday! Friday is just around the corner :)
