Come Sail Away (aka drunken post)

This past weekend we went to visit our good friends across state. When we first arrived Pete was not yet home as he was at the high school football game that he couldn’t get out of because he’s the principal.

So while we waited we….you know….drank patiently.

Yes, that’s a jug of wine. I’m classy like that!

When he finally arrived home around 10, we were ready to start the homemade pizza’s. Amie made a regular pizza and I tried a new recipe for White Pizza.

I do not have a picture of the pizza’s just out of the oven, because I was too hungry to stop and take a picture of them.

While we ate we listened to a mix CD of Amie’s, and when Come Sail Away came, things got a little crazy.

Notice my left arm that’s up and away? That was my sail, in case you wondered. Yes, Amie’s dog looks scared as did our husbands.

I can be quite animated, can you tell?

I’m pretty sure, this was only funny to us. (and also, someone needs to go tanning, ahem)

Next up? Carly Simon.
You’re sooo vain…I bet you think this song is about you, don’t you, don’t yoooouuuu?”

The next morning was a rough one, let’s just say I didn’t look happy like I do here. I haven’t been that hungover since my best friends bachelorette party. I guess that’s why I shouldn’t drink out of jugs.

And as you can see, I only have 3 pictures from the entire day. We did carve pumpkins for Amie and Pete, then Pete made us this yummy chicken!

And here’s how that went…

And we spent the rest of the evening watching movies!

And let’s not forget the men who loves us, who…yes, will come sail away with us….but only if we stop acting it out. (never gonna happen!) :)

  • my life is brilliant

I my goodness! I LOVE “Come Sail Away With Me”!!! The song I really get like that, though, (every. single. time!) is “Bohemian Rhapsody.” I love that song in general, but when I’m drunk, I love it!

And wine can really sneak up on you the morning after. But it’s great while you’re enjoying it!

As for your skin color, it’s almost November. The only people who are still tan will look like old leather by January!

  • Oh God you two look so cute! LOL. And that chicken looks yummy and fabulous. I’m glad you had a good time during your visit. :)
