Jolly Holiday

Thanksgiving Day started out with these apps.  A cheese ball and ham onion rollups.  That cheese ball was delicious and huge.  We had some left over for the little get together we had with our friends Thursday night.  It was a joke that I put crack in it because it was so addicting.  I’ve never been one for crack but I do love me some cheese!

This is a close up of my little turkey um….thing ma bob.  I just think it’s so cute.

And that’s it for Thanksgiving pictures because I was busy….cooking!

Every year the Saturday after Thanksgiving is Tree Day.  Yes, I have capitalized that because it’s a holiday in my head.  So on Saturday morning I made blueberry muffins to get the holiday started off right!

This year we sort of started a new tradition with adding some family members to Tree Day, instead of it just being me and Rob.  Unfortunately the day started out rough with mother-in-law issues but we all agreed no one was allowed to be upset on Tree Day so we all said jazz hands to that!

I’m not sure it was safe for Rob to do jazz hands while operating the vehicle but he did.

We also decided we needed a little tummy warmer before we got to the tree farm, so we stopped for some Bloody Mary’s, it worked out as we had to wait for the sister-in-law and her man (Rob’s best friend).

This is my brother-in-law and his girlfriend who also happens to be my friend.  I must say the family is coming together well!

I’m not sure what’s going on here, but I think I’m dancing and waving off any frustrations.

Don’t judge us until you know our mother-in-law.

Our tree decorated.  I was not feeling the red ribbon, I also had no say in the lights.  Here’s my question….do you start at the top and go down, or the bottom and go up?

And the stockings were hung by the snowflakes with care….

I woke up at 1:00 am to find Rob just sitting on the couch and staring at the tree.  I was contemplating the red ribbon again, I ended up taking it off.  This is humorous to me because Rob never takes pictures….but in this one he thought I looked so beautiful and so he takes the picture and tells me this and I respond, “yeah, this red ribbon must go.”  Talk about two different thoughts at the same time….
