Something to do…

Not much going on these days.  Can you believe it?  I’m actually sort of bored but have all these great ideas in my head, but still bored.  What are my ideas, you ask?  I’ll tell you.

Painting the bathroom.

Painting the living room.

Painting the office.

Painting the guest room.

I’m to the point right now where I’m ready to start making MY MARK on this new house.  The paint in this house is actually quite beautiful.  I don’t really want to change the kitchen as long as it will match well with what I pick for the living room.  I don’t really want to paint the living room except it doesn’t REALLY match our furniture.  It doesn’t look bad, however, it doesn’t seem to really match and it bugs me while I sit there watching my DVR’d Chelsea Latelys and Grey’s Anatomy….oh and American Idol too.  The bathroom definitely needs to be changed and I just recently finally found a shower curtain and rug that I love so I’m trying to go off that for colors.  I hate picking out paint, though.  I need someone to go with me, uh Michelle?  You out there?  I did spend sometime on a website last night that found me looking at two colors that matched the new shower curtain and rug perfectly so I might just go for it.

But….(there’s always a butt) do you want to hear something else?  Do you remember this?  Okay, well we had sort of given up on it because, let’s just say all these other things kept happening that prevented the job from being available.  Two weeks ago Rob got a call that it was finally approved and you know, please send us your resume.  HOLY SHIT, we bought this house because we had given up on it and now it’s happening.  CRAP.  We currently pay the mortgage on two houses, how in the hell are we gonna move?  But you know, we are just waiting to see what happens and then cross that bridge when we come to it BUT what I’m saying is that when I mention all this painting and making this crib my own, Rob responds to me that it’s probably a good idea to wait and see what happens with AA.  Darn. Darn. Darn.  I guess that gives me longer to make even poorer choices in paint that I would if I picked it now.

I’m also in the process of getting my crap together to go back to school.  This is because I got laid off and in Michigan you get to go to school for free (somewhat) when that happens.  I’ll tell you more about what for and all that jazz when I finally meet with my case manager and I don’t have my hopes and dreams all written out on here and then he shoots them  down and then I have to come on here and tell you all about it.  I’d rather just tell you all about it at once after it happens.

Luke still isn’t crawling but we talk about it everyday.

I ran a 5K on Saturday, which also happened to be Rob’s birthday and we had some friends over to celebrate his thirtytwoism.  The race was really good, although I still don’t know my time and Rob seemed to have a good birthday.

My dad continues to do amazing and just needs to have the surgery on his kidney to remove the cancer and we’ll find out more timing on that this week.

But today and yesterday I sort of feel like,  what do I do?  I think I’m going to go get groceries to make lasagna for dinner and also stop by Target, not because I’m addicted to Target but because it’s right there.

  2. Things I would do: bake something sweet, go on a walk, go shopping (which it sounds like you’re doing from what you said about Target).

Also, I love your new masthead pics–if they’re not new then I’m bad and late at noticing these things and I’m sorry.

  3. I’m also in Michigan and don’t know about this. More details, please. (not that it REALLY matters, because even if I were in that position, I would need something that would provide immediate income…)

of course, I would love to go to paint store with you and fabric store too! I just went this weekend to figure out swatches for our house. It’s getting Clay to agree with me that is the hard part. We were talking to Rob outside at your get together about AA. Lots going on! Exciting opportunities though. MS
