I ask a lot of questions in real life too.

Today will be a complete mix up of a post but since I’m announcing that and it’s my intention, it’s all good.  It’s sort of like when you plan to do nothing but sit on the couch all day and watch movies, it’s okay because THAT was the plan.  It’s not lazy, it’s making a plan.  I like those plans once and a while.

Anyway, I have some random updates.

First off, I ordered this dress in the wrong color.  I must have scrolled or fat fingered something but instead of navy blue I got this instead:

It is a really cute dress and looks really cute on.  I don’t really want to deal with the exchange and sending it back so I think I’ll stick with the “eggplant”, but what do you think?  And can you give me some shoe ideas?  Like color and style?

Also, I’ve been trying to sell this for months:

It just didn’t go in our living room in this new house and we wanted to keep it to put in the finished basement but guess what?  It wouldn’t fit down the stairs.  So here it sat in the smallest room in the house which is now our office and it was getting on my nerves.  So I put in on craigslist and for only 25 dollars!  I would get a lot inquires but I think because it’s big and awkward most people couldn’t move it.  So a week ago we decided to just tear it apart and burn it.  About half way through the process we changed our minds and did this instead:

How cute is that?  MUCH CUTER and we finally got to bring the big TV down from the bedroom and actually use it.  This TV is not ours, we are babysitting it until my dad is ready for it back.  Anyway, I love a handy husband!  And he’s almost done with the wall to wall shelving unit in the basement, I’ll post pics for sure!

Finally, here’s a few pics from Luke’s birthday.  He had a good day.  And I had a good day.  And my mom seemed really good that day and that made my heart smile a little more.

Here’s the cake I made:

Here’s a two year old Luke:

  2. Handy indeed! How cute is Luke?!
And the dress, I love the color. Think I actually like it better than the navy blue one. I’d pair it with strappy high heel sandals, in a light color like cream, champagne or even light gold. You’ll rock it!

That kid is so adorable. Seriously. Nice job on the cake! Only 3 more months until you can bust it out again 😉

  4. Happy birthday, Luke! Love the cake! Love the eggplant dress! (Nude heels? Something strappy and black and already in your closet?) And way to go with the entertainment center. SO SMART.
