Just One Paragraph: turning five

Just One Paragraph

It was chocolate chip pancakes at IHOP with papa. A trip to Target for a new backpack & a fire truck lunch box. A stop at the mall for new shoes in a size 13. Professionally measured because I had lost track of what size he might need next. Spaghetti for dinner per his request. A sleepover in the tent in our backyard with daddy and a friend. A pirate party on Saturday. Friends, pirate hats, pirate cupcakes, another sleepover. Spoiled. Sometimes. But sometimes I can’t help it. I love you, Luke. I can’t wait to watch you be five.

“Luke what was your favorite part of today?” Inside the tent watching netflix. He replies, “The whole was my favorite.”
He is spoiled to have such a wonderful caring mother.

Size 13 shoes? He’s got some big feet! My son, aged 9, wears 1.5 wide. He comes from big feet, though, since hubby wears Mens 13.
