Proud

Today I watched a video of a father and son reunion. And in the video the father says, “I’m so proud of you. You’ve been such a brave boy while I’ve been gone.” I lost it. Because no matter where your parent is, it’s really hard without them with you.

I lost it pretty hard. I didn’t realize how much it would effect me to hear something like that. Am I brave without her here? Is she proud of me?
